Service Description

Planning and Preparing for Supportive Discharges It can often feel overwhelming and scary to start behavioral health services as a client, and even more intimidating when considering ending services. This is why a well-planned discharge process is important so that clients can feel empowered to take charge of their treatment journey and confidently transition out of services when appropriate. This training will explore key principles of Solution-Focused Therapy to help clinicians and clients work together in preparing for closure from the very start of treatment. Participants will learn strategies to manage client fears and reactions to ending services while developing a structured, personalized support plan to maintain therapeutic gains. Learning Objectives: 1. Participants will be provided with a brief introduction to Solution Focused therapy methods such as clinical stance, how problems persist, and common interventions. 2. Participants will learn specific phrases and interventions they can implement throughout treatment to prepare clients for successful closure of services. 3. Participants will learn about the intervention of sustainability plans and how to apply the technique to support clients in transitioning out of treatment successfully. Clinical Best Practice Institute, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7639. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Clinical Best Practice Institute, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
