Service Description

Enhancing Cultural Competency in Bowenian Family Therapy: Bridging Theory & Practice In Person Training at River People Health Center in Scottsdale:  This CEU course will explore the integration of Bowenian family therapy theory with cultural competency principles. Participants will learn how to effectively apply Bowen’s concepts, such as differentiation of self and family systems theory, in diverse cultural contexts to enhance therapeutic outcomes. Objectives: 1. Understand the core principles of Bowenian family therapy. 2. Identify the influence of cultural dynamics on family systems. 3. Apply culturally competent strategies to Bowenian concepts, such as the family projection process and multigenerational transmission. 4. Recognize and address potential biases in applying Bowenian therapy across cultural contexts. 5. Develop practical interventions for diverse populations using Bowenian principles. Facilitator :Ashlea Taylor-Barber is an independently licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Relationship Expert, and the owner of the therapy & consulting practice Favor & Grace Under Fire and Speaking Favor and Grace, Speaking and Engagement Company. With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an Advanced Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Arizona State University, Ashlea brings over 13 years of experience in the Behavioral Health field to her practice. Clinical Best Practice Institute, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7639. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Clinical Best Practice Institute, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Cancellation Policy

Trainings cancelled more than 48 hours in advance with result in a credit for the amount paid which can be used towards a future training within the next six months. Trainings cancelled less than 48 hours in advance will result in the full charge. Consultations not cancelled at least 24 business hours in advance will result in the full charge/deduction from consultation retainer if applicable. Consultation groups are booked as a bundle with the total for all group session due at the time of enrollment and are non refundable. The option for group sessions to be recorded and made available to attendees who may miss a session will be an option but not guaranteed as it will require unanimous consent for recording from all enrolled group members.
