About

Training Description: This training is designed to highlight the intersection of clinician well-being and ethics. Avoiding burnout and compassion fatigue is imperative for both clinician longevity and well-being as well as quality client care. Through presentation, reflection exercises, and engagement, participants will gain knowledge and tools to aid in supporting clinicians to ensure they are taking care of themselves, while taking care of others. Learning Objectives: By the end of this training, participants will be able to: • Identify various sources and nature of distress for those working in the behavioral health field. • Explain how personal, professional, organizational, and cultural factors interact to increase risk of distress. • Identify the potential ethical implications of distress for those working in the behavioral health field . • Identify why traditional methods of “self-care” are not enough to alleviate distress. • Identify approaches to comprehensive self care and wellness to minimize distress, burnout, and compassion fatigue. *Before beginning the program, please ensure that you have completed your CBPI account profile including your first and last name as you would like it to appear on your CE certificate (please note this requires completing all sections of the profile, not just your "display name.")
