Supervising behavioral health providers of all developmental levels and experience is rewarding, but can sometimes be challenging. When supervising novice behavioral health professionals, such as interns or masters level clinicians with less than one year of recent clinical experience, a diverse set of unique challenges specific to this experience level may need to be addressed within the supervisory relationship. This training will focus on shifting the supervisor’s perspective of self, their role for change, and reconceptualization of the growth process with their supervisee. Supervisors attending this training will develop a clear understanding of identifiable and inherent strengths their supervisees may have, and appropriate and supportive methods for scaffolding those strengths further. Supervisors will also learn how to quickly identify common areas of concern that are common in novice providers and direct, yet firm and supportive, strategies they can use to address these concerns within the supervisory relationship.
Consultation Services and Training Registrations cancelled less than 12 hours in advance will result in the full charge. If you are unable to attend a training you registered for, please contact info@clinicalbestpracticeinstitute at least 12 hours in advance and a credit for the amount paid will be issued and can be used for another training or consultative service within the next 6 months.
